The Moscow branch of the International Academy of Architecture (MAAM / IAAM)

The Moscow branch of the International Academy of Architecture (MAAM / IAAM), a structural unit of an international non-profit organization, was established in 1991 on the basis of the branch (representative office) of the International Academy of Architecture (IAA/ IAA) that had been operating since 1987. The purpose of establishing the MAAM was to create and maintain productive international and professional ties and to cooperate with the International Academy of Architecture. Over the years, the IAAM has participated in international seminars, conferences, examinations, lectures, and master classes, as well as in international festivals in Russia and abroad.

Currently, the Academy’s activities are focused on the following areas:
— stimulating and supporting theoretical and practical creative activities in the field of architecture and urban planning, coordinating and uniting the efforts of architects from different countries to create a common professional space, exchange positive experience, and develop a common legal and regulatory framework;
— promoting high values and achievements in the field of architecture and urban planning, integrating Eurasian professional practices into the global process, and generating and supporting new ideas in urban planning and architecture.
— establishing productive contacts and organizing cooperation with government, business, and public representatives, as well as with national and international organizations and structures.
