A seminar-meeting of the cultural heritage protection bodies of the Central Federal District was held at VDNKh. The event was attended by Denis Protsenko, Deputy Director of the Department of State Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, and representatives of the cultural heritage protection bodies of the Central Federal District.
On behalf of VDNKh, the participants of the meeting were welcomed by Alexander Tarasov, Deputy General Director – Director of the Department of Capital Repair and Construction. In his speech, Alexander Alexandrovich spoke about the VDNKh Revival Program and presented the International Exhibition on Architecture, Restoration, Culture, and Archaeology – ARKA in the new Pavilion No. 20 Forum of VDNKh EXPO, which will be held on November 18 – 20, 2026, during the All-Russian Congress of the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments, where we expect representatives from 89 Russian regions. Currently, VDNKh is working with the Ministry of Culture on a joint business program.
At the end of the seminar, the participants visited the federal cultural heritage site "Nature Conservation Pavilion (former Construction Materials Pavilion), 1954, architects: G.I. Lutsky and L.I. Lopovok," located at 119 Prospekt Mira, Building 62, Moscow, where Alexander Urbansky, Honorary Restorer of Moscow, spoke about the preservation of cultural heritage sites using the example of the pavilion. The participants also visited the Glavtabak Pavilion and the Orion Amusement Park, expressing their desire to return to the Exhibition again and again.
It should be noted that the conference room where the meeting was held featured the works of graduates from the Stroganov College of Design and Decorative Arts, which added a special atmosphere to the event.
